Time to Relax

Christmas was wonderful as it usually is. We had a lovely time Christmas Eve and then our three girls and their families all came for dinner on Christmas Day. We have since been making the rounds to see everyone's decorations and Christmas cheer.

I've done several pages, last night and today; just been on a roll I guess. It seems so good to have everything done and just be able to do whatever I want to do. After pushing so hard to get Gracie's Christmas dress done, I decided to start her Easter dress a lot sooner and I will have time to smock it. Will probably make one for Teagan for Easter too. She will be big enough by then.

This page of Grace on the slide was photos from Thanksgiving weekend. Hard to believe, only a month ago there wasn't even a hint of snow around here.

This next one is Jenny with her new violin!

Well this has been quite a storm. Three snow days for the kids! We had one day of storm with about 10 inches of snow, but another two days of lake effect with another maybe 18 inches. Gabe is really glad to be retired, he would have been out in it trying to keep the roads clear for the last 3 days! I have had Teagan all week and she was so good I was able to get my cards all finished and then addressed with letters enclosed.

Tomorrow we are going to get up early and go Christmas shopping, buy stamps and maybe even some baking supplies. Then in the afternoon, hopefully, we will get the house all vacuumed and and decorated. It will be a busy weekend, but I hope things will look a lot like the scrapbook page below by Sunday evening! Wish me luck.

I'm not real good at this

Well I was sure I wouldn't let this go this long, but life seems to get in the way. I presently am up to my ears in alligators trying to get ready for Christmas. Don't know what my problem is this year, but am so very unorganized; it is terrible!

We are in the middle of a major winter storm, after little or no snow all of October and November, it actually looks pretty good. Just wish no one had to drive in it. We got about 10 inches to a foot today, and now the lake effect is supposed to kick in so we should get a lot more tonight and tomorrow. That's one thing about living up here, in the almost 40 years I've been here; we've only had one green Christmas, and even that one we had snow by Christmas night.

This must be it for today. I'd better go address Christmas cards now that I finally have them all made!
